Coaching, Counseling, Mentoring... it's all the same - right?
Coaching is NOT the same as counseling or mentoring. Let's explore the differences between the three.
Counseling: You should not expect therapeutic outcomes with coaching as you may with counseling. Counselors use psychological methods and various techniques and aptitudes to provide professional guidance. Counseling tends to be focused on introspection and reflection of an individual's past, whereas coaching is future-oriented.
Mentoring is a self-directed, mutually beneficial, long-term relationship between two individuals for long-term career movement where the mentor does most of the talking and offers advice. While coaching is a true partnership among equals, mentoring most typically consists of a more experienced person directly guiding the mentee through an experience that the mentor has already been through.
Coaching is a conversation focused on helping you move forward relative to your goals —not to dig into your past. Coaching is directly tied to what you want to accomplish, through a process that is directed by you and where you are empowered to uncover and develop your own path to achieving your goal.

Alignment
As an executive team, alignment around transformation initiatives is imperative. This isn't just a kick-off meeting, but being in lock-step every step of the way. We meet in-person quarterly to ensure alignment on transformation goals, review progress, and plan for risk mitigation.
Education
Many executives we've worked with think of transformation initiatives in terms of project management, but realizing the value requires so much more. Frequently paired with the Transformation Navigator - Coaching provides high-touch support to each executive leading transformation efforts.
Each executive deals with their own departments, competing goals, people & process issues. They also have different skill sets. One-on-one coaching is provided to each executive to tackle their specific needs. Coaching will guide each executive to a deeper level of self-awareness - shifting perspectives, unlocking new leadership capabilities, and enabling them to drive long-term impact and success.
Change Leadership
It can be overwhelming to drive change within an organization while simultaneously keeping the trains on track and delivering constant value. Mastering Change Leadership skills will be one of the most important variables to ensure a successful transformation. Luckily, we're experts and will provide customized coaching based on our real-world experiences.
Accountability Partner
We commit to supporting executives every step of the way. No one is alone on this journey. We will help ensure you stay on track when distractions arise - and they always do! While the company will hold executives accountable to meeting their transformation milestones, your coach will hold each executive accountable to their personal goals.
